This started off as purely a makeup blog but has turned into something a little more. Here I share various makeup looks and various life experiences along with my weight loss journey.

WWE Makeup - Aksana
This look was quite a challenge because Aksana doesn't really seem to stick with just one look so I had to choose what stood out to me most, which was this ring attire.
I also brought in a little bit of this ring gear for colour.
I wanted to pull the lace into the makeup, which was quite a challenge because I only have the creme eyeliner, not a liquid, which would provide so much more precision. Once I have purchased a liquid eyeliner this look will be redone and will be far more intricate which I'm excited for but since I went ahead and completed the look I wanted to share it.
The completed look
Because I was restricted to using my creme eyeliner I decided to stick with a simple lace and based it off of a lace tutorial I found on youtube.
Lets start with the eyes.
Lid: Blue Zircon
Lace: Maybelline Eyestudio
Mascara: Monster Lash
For this lips, I used Bed Head By TIGI Shine Junkie Lipgloss in Java
That completes this look. I hope you enjoyed and as always have a wonderful day!

WWE Makeup - AJ Lee
Today I wanted to revert to my first blog and do a WWE themed makeup. I decided to take the roster in alphabetical order, so my first inspiration is WWE diva AJ Lee.
AJ Lee
The finished look
Starting with the eyes, inner corner to outer here is what I used from my Coastal Scents 252 pallette.
Lid: White Silver>Love Spell
Crease and slightly above crease: Concrete Jungle
Crease: Incognito.
Lower Lashline: Incognito
Brow Bone: Candlelight
Eyeliner: Maybelline Eystudio in blackest black
For the lips, I used Pink Sizzle from Femme Couture
That completes this look. Hope you enjoyed and as always have a wonderful day!

My Setup Is Complete!
Today I went ahead and took the trip to Home Depot to get everything I needed for my lighting. They didn't have the vanity lights I wanted but I got a really nice set.
I followed this tutorial which explains how to hook your lights up to a lamp cord and dimmer switch.
The result is fantastic!
I am now completely setup for recording videos! I can't explain how exciting that is for me and I hope you can all share in my excitement! I have most of this upcoming week off so I will most likely be doing a video at some point this week.
Any requests are welcome and encouraged.
As always, thank you for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Something A Little More Personal - Not Makeup Related
I've been sitting here in my little booth at work for a while debating whether or not to make this post but I've come to the decision that I will in fact go through with this because I feel like I can't possibly the only person that feels this way.
For those of you who don't know me or haven't known me long, I used to be thin. Over the years a combination of medications and life have added on the pounds and as I stand here and now, I am beyond unhappy with my self image. I am literally a thin girl trapped in an overweight girl's body. Believe me when I say that I am by no means an advocate for today's standards of what a woman should look like, it is both insane and sickening. I am however an advocate for health, I believe that it is the most important thing a person could have. I, like many others, have unfortunately not been blessed with perfect health and now my weight is adding to those existing health problems.
I have been struggling with my weight for a few years now and instead of fluctuating, it has just slowly increased. After trying on a dozen outfits last night before going out, I felt embarrassed and hopeless. None of my clothes fit me the way they used to and nothing seems to be able to minimize the appearance of my round stomach.
That experience has me ready for change, ready to fit back into my old clothes, ready to feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit, even if its just a one-piece. Ready to reform my life. Because that's what is really is isn't it? A reformation of your life.
The problem? I love food. When I say I love food, I don't think you quite understand just how serious I am. I love to cook it, I love to eat it. My favorite food group? Cheese. I am literally in love with cheese. Anyway, now I'm getting off track.
My plan is to join Weight Watchers. The good thing about Weight Watchers is that it really helps me put food in perspective for myself unlike a lot of other diets. A diet can inform me about how bad sugars are and these are good fats and those are bad fats, the whole shebang, but for some reason that doesn't make a difference to me. Now when you make me choose between a bowl of ice cream and dinner, I'm going to choose dinner. Of course there are going to be days when I'm damn well going to choose the ice cream but the regret of using up my points is just going to make me choose dinner next time.
I don't know if you know how Weight Watchers works but I'll give you a little run down. Basically, based on your weight, height, age and a few other things, you are given a certain amount of points for your day. Lets say I get 24 points for the day. Every food item has a number value that you can look up in a little book. Every time you eat a food, you subtract that food's point value from your daily points allowance. Once you get to 0 you are done eating for the day.
I've tried Weight Watchers before and can't remember why I stopped because I was seeing results so I'm ready to give it another go. I think I will probably do some weight updates on here so bear with me.
My concerns are that I tend to do something really consistently for a little over a week and then lose my momentum and with this, I can't let that happen because my health depends on my success. Any advice on how to stick with something? Please leave a comment!
As always, thanks for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Recording Equipment Update!
Yesterday was a good day. My mom and I went on a trip to BJs just to do a little looking around, ended up at Best Buy and I got a fantastic deal on a camcorder.
The camcorder is a Samsung HMX-F90 and looks like this:
It may not be the best camcorder on the market but it will most certainly do. Now the only element missing are my bar lights. If you don't know what bar lights are they look like this and have probably a dozen different names:
I'm putting two bar lights on the sides of my mirror and one across the top to create a Broadway style effect similar to this.
Hopefully you enjoyed my Foundation, Contouring and Highlighting video, it is a video I will most likely end up remaking with my new recording equipment once I get my new lighting up. I've never done anything like that before and it was quite a challenge to narrate, I probably should have saved some of the recordings to save up for a bloopers video but now I know for next time.
Today I had absolutely no time to get ready for work because I woke up later than I would have liked and then procrastinated about getting ready because I didn't want to go in, so I'm sporting the no-makeup-makeup look today which consists of foundation and mascara. I will update this post with a photo of my FOTD(Face Of The Day for those of you who are like me and take forever to get acronyms).
My lickety-split makeup.
As always, thanks for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Foundation, Contouring and Highlighting Video
I attempted my first makeup video yesterday and wanted to share that. It is a fairly simple video on how I do my foundation, contouring and highlighting. Due to lack of good lighting and proper recording equipment the video quality is quite poor but fortunately it is watchable. So here it is!
Product List:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation - 220 Natural Beige
Coastal Scents Eclipse Pallette - Highlighter, pale yellow, lightest shade and darkest shade.
Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder - Fair
I hope this was both helpful and enjoyable. Thanks for reading and watching!

Late Night Burst of Creativity
I know I said my next post would have a product and tool list buuuut I just knocked this out in a matter of minutes because I couldn't sleep and wanted to share. My inspiration was my pallette.

The Failed Makeup Video
Hi everyone, today I made my first ever attempt at a makeup video and it was an absolute disaster! Because I don't have a good enough camera I used my webcam which was a huge mistake. With everything from background noise to horrid video quality I have decided to scrap the video and just show photos from the look I did today.
I started off with a very basic foundation routine and some contouring. Here you can see the difference in my before and after.
I then proceeded to look for some inspiration after 2 failed attempts at doing my eye makeup to my liking and came up with this beautiful picture of a toucan.
I promise that my next post will be in full detail, product list, tool list and all. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

In Celebration of My New Vanity Table!
For over a year now I have been doing my makeup at the small bookshelf in my room due to lack of a better surface but today my wonderful aunt gave me a cute little desk to use as my vanity. I am more than thrilled and cannot wait to give it a little tlc to make it stunning. Feeling inspired by this new addition I sat right down and went all out with contouring, bold eyes and a red lip.
The following is the result of my burst of inspiration. I tend to get caught up in the creative process and all my plans of taking step-by-step photos go out the window so for my very first post on this blog, I will not be doing a tutorial, however if any of you would like one on this look, I will be more than happy to redo it in the future. Now onto tonight's look.
